Library Homepage: Reserve a Study Room

Goddard Library & Technology Center - Rochester Community & Technical College. Rochester, MN

Using the Group Study Rooms

Groups have preference over individuals. Individuals occupying a group study room during high demand periods will be asked to relinquish a room. Steps:

  1. Make a Reservation using the online self-reservation system.
  2. Right before your reservation begins, present your valid Student ID card at the Circulation Desk in exchange for the key to the room.
  3. Close and vacate the room when your reservation ends.

Promptly return the key to the Circulation Desk. If you do not return the key promptly after your reservation expires, you will be charged as follows:

  • $20.00 after the first 15 minutes
  • $1.00 per minute thereafter up to a maximum of $50.00
  • If the key is not returned when the $50.00 maximum has been reached, you will be charged $100.00 for a lost key.

Group Study Room Reservation System

The library has 7 small group study rooms (up to 6 users max) available to current RCTC and WSU-R students, faculty and staff. These rooms are for small group discussion and quiet study, and all uses of these rooms must relate to legitimate class assignments and projects. No food allowed!

In order to provide all current students and staff the opportunity to use these rooms we have begun a self-reservation system, where rooms can be reserved, for a maximum of 2 consecutive hours, up to 2 weeks in advance with the following restrictions:

  • All reservations must be submitted by a currently enrolled student or active staff member using your RCTC or WSU email.

  • Each user can only make one reservation every 2 days.
